Hickory Grove
About the Series
Lying just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Hickory Grove, Indiana is technically in the Midwest—but don’t tell the residents that! This farming community is built on the same old-fashioned values as the Deep South: God, family, and good food.
But sometimes, dwelling on the traditions of the past makes it difficult to move forward into a future, especially when old flames and new suitors are right at your doorstep. Each of these women Grove must find a way to honor their history while rebuilding the future—literally!
As they take on the challenges of renovating old buildings and getting new projects off the ground, will romance keep them on track?
In The Schoolhouse, Becky Linden is moving back to her hometown after dropping off her only son at college. Looking for a new life after her divorce, she takes on the task of turning the abandoned schoolhouse into a bookstore.
The only problem? The one person who can help her just happens to be her high school boyfriend.
After her mom passed away, Fern Gale became the lady who lived in The Christmas House. Moving on was too hard, so she never bothered to save her marriage…or take down the Christmas lights.
But when a pipe bursts one cold winter’s night, it could be the start of a new life. But as she starts work on sprucing up the old place, she stumbles across a discovery that forces her to reconnect with her old husband.
In The Farmhouse, Maggie Devereux winds up inheriting her late aunt’s crumbling farmhouse. Even though it’s in rough shape, so is her life, so she jumps at the chance to fix it up and get a fresh new start.
But as her to-do list keeps growing, will she find time for romance with a handsome investor?
The Innkeeper’s House centers on Greta Houston as she moves back to Hickory Grove. Looking for work (and love), she stumbles into the arms of Luke Hart, who’s struggling to balance his coaching job with the bed & breakfast he inherited from his grandmother.
Will the two manage to build a life together amid the hustle and bustle?
Finally, as the residents of Hickory Grove settle down to enjoy another holiday season, a newcomer threatens to upend the delicate balance in The Quilting House. This heartwarming conclusion to the Hickory Grove series has plenty of romance, strong female friendships, and plenty of holiday spirit!
We all know that nothing is better than the comforts of home, but this is especially true for the residents of Hickory Grove.

More About the Series
Although fictional, Hickory Grove was inspired by the real-life towns surrounding my grandfather’s family farm. Just minutes from the Kentucky border, southern Indiana has more in common with the South than it does with the Midwest. In fact, I have many wonderful memories of exploring the old schoolhouse that first inspired me to write this series.
Life may have changed a lot since those days, but this series makes me feel like I can revisit them, time and time again.
I hope you love it here as much as I do!
